Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee's job is not simply to raise money. Instead, the Fundraising Committee is responsible for overseeing the organization's overall fundraising and, in particular, the fundraising done by the board. To accomplish this, its responsibilities are:

• To work with board to establish a fundraising plan that incorporates a series of appropriate outreach techniques, such as special events, direct mail, presentations, dinner meetings etc.

• Fundraise for all Do More Iowa related events to assure all budget needs are met 60 days prior to each event.

• To work with fundraising team in their efforts to raise money for Do More Iowa.

• To take the lead in certain types of outreach efforts, such as chairing a dinner/dance committee or hosting fundraising parties, etc.

• To be responsible for involvement of all board members in fundraising, such as having board members make telephone calls to ask for support.

• To monitor fundraising efforts to be sure that ethical practices are in place, that donors are acknowledged appropriately, and that fundraising efforts are cost-effective.

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee is responsible for organizing, developing and executing all marketing for Do More Iowa. The purpose of this committee is to assist the Executive Director in increasing awareness of Do More Iowa among the community. To accomplish this, its responsibilities are:

• Work with the Executive Director to create appropriate social media accounts/pages.

• Post on behalf of Do More Iowa on our Facebook page

• Create/design marketing materials for Do More Iowa

• Assist in the creation of the monthly newsletter

• Assist in website updates, as needed

• Market any Do More Iowa events- external marketing committee will be responsible for marketing all partnership related events

Event Marketing Committee

The Event Marketing Committee is responsible for organizing, developing and executing all marketing for events Do More Iowa is planning. The purpose of this committee is to assist the Event Planning Committee in increasing awareness of each event among the community to assure high attendance. To accomplish this, its responsibilities are:

• Work with the Executive Director to create appropriate social media event pages.

• Post on behalf of Do More Iowa on social media pages.

• Create and design marketing materials for each individual event.

• Work closely with event planning committee to determine best marketing tactics for each event.

• Create ticket sales website for each event (Eventbrite).

• Design all aspects of each event- t-shirts, posters, flyers etc.
